Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Port State Control (PSC) is an inspection regime for countries to inspect foreign-registered ships in port other than those of the flag state and take action against ships that are not in compliance.<\/p>\n

During September 2024 inspections, the China PSC detained 3 vessels, which were found to have deficiencies related to the vessel\u2019s Ballast Water Management Systems (BWMS) and procedures in accordance with IMO\u2019s Ballast Water Convention (Resolution MEPC.387[81]).<\/p>\n
